Cloud migration is a top CIO priority, with the large majority of enterprise workloads headed to the cloud — but the data moves and the physical estate doesn't. When you migrate, CyberCrunch securely retires the servers and destroys the drives you leave behind, and connects you to trusted hosting partners if you need them.
Migration leaves a physical tail: idle compute that powered the workloads you just moved, SAN and NAS arrays still full of files and backups, workstations retired as teams shift to virtual desktops, and networking gear no longer needed once the racks empty out. Every one of those is a data-bearing, value-bearing asset that has to be accounted for, not left on a loading dock — because decommissioned isn't destroyed. A powered-off drive still holds every byte, and that data stays in scope for HIPAA, GLBA, PCI, and FERPA until the media is sanitized to a verified standard. Factory resets and quick wipes don't qualify; retired media needs NIST 800-88 Destroy-level treatment.
